![]() The ruins of Whitby Abbey are dramatic and mysterious. The place is vast and peaceful. Fans of Bram Stoker's Dracula know that scenes from the book took place here, and the town of Whitby is visited by Goths in large numbers in late October. ![]() While not as pretty as Whitby, the town of Scarborough has it's own appeal, and it's more than the view of the massive castle, as this picture shows. |
![]() While we spent hours in Edinburg castle, we didn't get to spend hardly any time exploring the rest of Edinburg. I plan to go back someday, and spend a week in this town. It is amazing. |

![]() We weren't allowed to take pictures of the interior of Castle Howard, which is too bad, because the collection of art and antiques is astounding.
